As I give a peace out to the mountains and am excited to be heading south to warmer weather, the ocean and beaches! But as I am writing this I am thinking about International Women’s day a few days ago. Now I’ll first start by saying I have never considered myself a feminist and when I have been interviewed with my business and am asked what it is like to be a women entrepreneur and owner of a business I normally give a look. I’ve never really liked that question and have never been one to try and get extra credit just because I am a women doing my job and what I love. Anyone could be doing it and in my community of silk screen artist basically all of us are women, so I’m not sure the fact I have my business and am female is that unique. The women are killing it!
But with that said when it comes to the van traveling and van living folks, I don’t know if I can make the same case. I started to notice that any of the instragram account I love, follow and feel connected to are actually women who are traveling. Sure some of them have their partners with them, but there are very few of us women just rolling solo. Somehow I think women are funnier, more genuine and are all out pretty cool for just getting out there and exploring.
As I realized this a little piece of me had a moment and gave myself a high five for being awesome. ha. Seriously though, for all the women out there rolling solo we do deserve a “You Rock!” high five. I hope more women start to just take off and do their own thing. You don’t need someone to hold your hand or wait for someone to go along with you, just go, do your thing and explore. Love the guys doing it too, but gonna give the love to the ladies on this one!
Let's get serious for a moment folks traveling with their 4 legged friends, especially in north Cali! While Baron was in the Redwoods, through our many days hiking he sadly pick up a tick and it tested positive for Lyme!
